Though winter seems reluctant to let go, signs of spring are all around our farm. The entrance to our farm market is bursting with color thanks to hardy pansies, blooming daisies, tulips, and Easter lilies—all offering that feeling of spring's arrival.
Inside our farm market, you'll find more signs of spring with vegetables from our farm and partner farms. We're picking salad mix and spinach from our hydroponic houses, green kale, storage beets and also have parsnips from another local farm. Look at our now harvesting page to see what else we have for you.
Out in our fields, another seasonal milestone is underway: the annual removal of straw from our strawberry and garlic beds. Once the soil warms to about 40°F, the protective straw is raked off and repurposed between the rows to help prevent weeds. After uncovering nearly three acres of strawberry beds, we’re happy to report the plants look healthy and came through the winter in great shape.

Next week, we’ll be preparing fields for the earliest plantings of peas and corn—another exciting step in the start of our growing season.
In our garden center, our greenhouses are filling up fast. Weeks of potting, transplanting, and soil work are paying off. The plants look strong and healthy and are right on track for planting season in May.

If you're getting ready for gardening season, visit us for what you need to get your garden off to a good start. We've got a wide range of soils, mulches and amendments from Coast of Maine and other companies. We're happy to talk with you about which would be best for what you want to grow and your growing conditions. You will also find raised bed planters, including ones that are elevated for gardeners who find bending down a challenge.

Celebrate Earth Day with us on April 22 by visiting our farm. We'll be giving away a free flowering seedling to each visitor while supplies last. Let's watch our planet grow more beautiful together!
Speaking of celebrations, we are still taking orders for Easter pies, salads, quiche, and more until Friday evening. Saturday we are open from 8-5:30. We’re closed Easter Sunday and will reopen on Monday from 8 am.
