Periodically we will be introducing you to some of the many people who are part of our team at the farm.
If you have been in our farm market, chances are you've seen Lily as she’s been part of our farm market team for the past 7 years. Yes, she started with us “as soon as I possibly could in high school. I grew up down the street and loved coming to the farm even as a young child.” Ask her what she likes about working and the farm and she doesn’t hesitate to answer. “It’s like a family here,” she says with a quick smile, although you can’t see it behind her mask. But you certainly hear it in her voice. “This is my ‘happy place.’ I enjoy the people I work with and I enjoy helping customers find what they need…and helping them discover the great things we have to eat.” Speaking of eating, she does have some favorites: From our farm bakery: “Salted caramel cookies. Without a doubt!” From our farm kitchen: “Tomato bisque soup.” From our what we grow: “Corn!!! I also really enjoy our salad mix.” It’s harder for her to pick out a favorite in our garden center. “There are just too many pretty flowers for me to narrow it down.” Many of us would agree with her! Stop in and say hi to Lily and the rest of the team! We’re open 7 days a week.
