Jeff's farm update: More signs of spring at our farm

As winter turns to spring and the maple sap stops running, our greenhouses start to fill up. Geraniums, sunpatiens, lobelia, fuschia, petunias, and many more flowers are beginning to take root. Over the next several weeks, they'll grow as our garden center team waters, feeds, and tends to them while we all wait for the temperatures outside to warm up.

Happy news from our hydroponic house! We started harvesting our salad mix and spinach. Our field crew picks 50 to 60 lbs of our salad mix each week. There's nothing better than the crunch of freshly harvested greens, and the flavor of our spinach is just refreshing.

With Easter fast approaching, don't forget to put your order in for our fruit breads, lemon meringue pies, lemon pound cake, and other spring treats from our farm kitchen and farm bakery.

To celebrate the holiday and bring a bit of spring inside, pick up some of the colorful pansies, budding tulips, hyacinths, or cut flower arrangements we have for you.

Many of us find spring is a busy time, and sometimes it seems there aren't enough hours in the day. To make things easier, give our "Farm E-Market" a try.

With our "Farm E-Market" you can shop for everything we offer in our farm market at any time from any location. Select what you want and then pick up your order the next day or another day you select. Our farm market team will carefully select your items and have them waiting for you.

Of course, we're always happy to welcome you to the farm. We're open every day from 8 am to 5 pm, except for Easter, when we will be closed for the holiday.

Come in and enjoy the foods and flowers of early spring!
