Fall harvest update and a scary event at our farm
As we say goodbye to October and welcome November, despite the cold mornings and first frost of the season a week ago, we’re still busy harvesting produce for you.
Our “Now Harvesting” page, which lists what we have from our farm, continues to show a large variety of our produce, including tomatoes, head lettuces, our Moulton’s salad mix, potatoes, beets, carrots, Brussels sprouts, and so much more, including over 10 varieties of local apples from one of our partner farms!

This year we expanded our season extending hydroponic offerings and we’ve already started harvesting beefsteak style tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, basil and cucumbers. Salad mix harvesting should begin in the next couple of weeks and continue well into December.
Be sure to check out our fall harvest specials for foods you can enjoy now or put up for winter. Our current specials include a ½ bushel of beets, a bushel or ½ bushel of winter squash, and our harvest box, which includes a variety of winter squash, beets, carrots, and potatoes. Get these specials in our farm market or order them ahead of time, and we’ll have them waiting for you.
Our farm kitchen team is hard at work making fresh soups and prepared meals, alongside our beloved meat pies. Meat pie production will continue till the end of December to ensure there is enough for this winter and all of next spring. Meanwhile, our farm bakery team is getting ready for Thanksgiving and testing some new holiday season recipes.
Join us on Thursdays and Fridays in November from 10-2 as we sample some of the foods you can order for Thanksgiving and other holiday gatherings. We’re now accepting orders for Thanksgiving pies, breads, rolls, and other treats until November 24th. See what we have for you by visiting our holiday foods page and our catering page.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, have you secured your turkey yet? We’re thrilled to partner once again with Misty Knoll Farm, offering fresh, free-range turkeys for Thanksgiving. Place your turkey orders by November 12th to ensure you don’t miss out!
Before we say goodbye to October, this Saturday, October 31st, from 4–7 PM The Xavier Group will be hosting their legendary Haunted Halloween Walk at our farm! Venture through our corn maze and greenhouses, where creepy creatures and spooky surprises await. It’s a frightfully fun evening for the whole family, and it’s FREE!! Donations are welcome, with every dollar donated going to the Greater Lakes Region Children's Fund.
