An update from John

Coming up with a farm report during the summer is easy!

Our field crops are growing well, though the heavy rains of late have been a little challenging to our crop care and harvest work. That being said, our field crew has adapted well to the weather and is working hard to bring in some of our finest produce.

We are picking some of the nicest broccoli and cauliflower we have ever grown, along with all of the summer squashes, cucumbers, chard, spinach, beans, baby red potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, scallions, lettuce, greens, and much more!

Keep up with what we are picking by visiting our now harvesting page. If you scroll down to the bottom of that page, you will also see some photos of our field crew tending the crops we grow and picking your food.

Of course, the answer to the corn question is...soon! Speaking of corn, we are still planting both corn and beans as a means to keep things in motion into the fall season.

Our staff in all departments have really stepped up to help each other in areas of need. Again, the field crew, farm market team, garden center team, and our farm kitchen and bakery crew have grown and come together to be an outstanding team. All of us know how fortunate we are to have such great people working with us!

Greeting our summer customers, some for the first time in over a year, has been very exciting. So, I guess we are approaching some sense of “normal,” with our crops growing, the crew working in our fields, and customers and friends visiting the farm every day!

We look forward to seeing you!

John Moulton
