Spring Open House

Our open house is going to be a great event for anyone who loves food, farming or gardening.  So far we have the following free events planned in addition to food sampling and other happenings:

Starting at 9 am the Granite State Draft Horse and Pony Association will hold a spring plowing contest in our field.  Watch teams of horses and ponies compete in this skill that was so crucial to farmers and New Hampshire history.  The event is estimated to run until approximately 1 pm depending on the number of teams competing.

At 10 am explore how we grow food at the farm with a walking tour with Kyle and Wes. We'll also talk about how to deal with critters (aka deer, birds, and other pests) that like to munch things in our fields and your gardens. No pre-registration is necessary, but signing up at this link if you think you will attend will help us prepare for the event.

At 1 pm join Sue, who is part of our garden center team, for a free workshop that will get you thinking about the possibilities for your porch, deck, patio or even dock. No pre-registration is necessary, but signing up at this link will help us prepare for the event.

At 2 pm if you like hydrangeas, you’re going to love our free "Good Gardening: Hydrangea Mania" workshop!  We’ve invited a special guest, Heather Poire, to help you decode the secrets to getting the best from your hydrangeas.  No pre-registration is necessary, but signing up at this link will help us prepare for the event.

Be sure to sign up for our newsletter so you get the updates on other things we are working on for our open house as well as other fun events we are having during the spring, summer and fall.
